Q.
Why
do I only see the old pages of the Club’s website when I know there’s been an
update?
A.
This is probably
because your computer is trying to be too helpful! What often happens is that
your computer keeps the image of the page you saw when you last visited the
website so that it can quickly show it to you again when you next want to see
it; what you need to do is to refresh your screen image.
Try the following: -
Press your Refresh button,
(two opposite facing curved green arrows), usually found on the
Tool Bar next to the 'Home' icon; if
that doesn't work then Press 'F5' and if that doesn't work finally press 'Ctrl +
F5'.
Once you’ve refreshed your screen image you should
see the latest update of the webpage

Q.
How do I make EKSSC the first page I see when I start up my computer?
A. Internet Service
Providers, (ISPs), usually make their website the default address so that you
open up on their website page, but you can change the default, (opening), page
to whatever you like and whenever you like.
To make EKSSC your choice of opening page, first
open Internet Explorer and
you will go to your usual opening page, then:-
Go to
Tools>Internet Options>Address and delete whatever is in the box and
replace it with http://www.ekssc.co.uk click Apply
and then OK and it’s done; you'll open up on the EKSSC website until you want to
change it again.

Q.
Why isn’t my picture in the
Photo Gallery?
A. Why indeed! The short answer is because you haven’t
sent any pictures of yourself to the website.

Q.
Why aren’t there more
pictures on the website?
A. The Club does not have
its own ‘resident’ photographer for taking pictures for the website, so the only
pictures we have are those sent in by the Members themselves.

Q.
Why does the race order get
changed from the published programme?
A.
The programme is
printed a few days before the meeting and shows what the intended race order
will be. The track then has to be assessed on the day of the meeting and
decisions made that will maximise the safety of all the riders taking part, this
consideration can result in the published race order being revised.

Q.
Why do the more senior
riders often go out first in the race order?
A. In order to assess the
track it can be helpful, to the track officials, to send out the more
experienced riders first. They will usually establish some 'lines' and at the
same time show if the track is riding as was intended or whether some
modification is needed before the more junior riders are sent out.
