WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP 2008/09 - 2nd Round
Newnham results will be here shortly.
The Winter Championship will be run over 4 rounds with the best 3 to
count.
If a round is cancelled then all 3 rounds will count. Anything less than 3
rounds being run will result in the Winter Championship being declared null
and void.
Due to the reduction of daylight hours, revised race times, (and Regs), are
shown on the Winter page.

NEWNHAM APPEAL
The following message has been received from Rachel, (of Riverside),
concerning the future of Newnham. As I understand it, one of the main
contentions is that the Newnham track has 'recently' been enhanced to
include jumps. Most of us will know this is not so and the course has
been pretty much as it now is for the past 8 years, (to my knowledge), or
more. What is needed is proof and/or statements. So dig out your
photo's or whatever you have - perhaps someone has pictures of Tommy Searle,
for instance, when he was in the Small Wheels.
Rachel's Message
We are now going to do a written appeal
for Newnham. The council are arguing that the track was originally only a
dirt track with no jumps so we need to prove the jumps have been there for a
substantial amount of time. Can you assist with this by going back through
your own photos or maybe putting a message on the EKSSC website asking for
help with this please? We only have 2 - 3 weeks to obtain this info so
everyone's help would be extremely helpful. Alternatively, can we invite
anyone to do an email in a statement form to substantiate that the jumps
have been established over a long period of time. My email address is
racheltwohoots@aol.com and I can forward them on to our planning
consultant.

RIVERSIDE MX APPEAL - From the Banks Family
We have received the decision on our planning appeal
this week and unfortunately the Inspector has dismissed our appeal.
However, the Inspector has given us 12 months to relocate but, in the
meantime we will take further advice on challenging this decision in the
High Court, which can be extremely costly
Therefore, we are still open for business as normal until further notice.
We will post a copy of the Inspector's decision on the website shortly so
you can read for yourselves how unfair his decision was.
Once again we thank everyone for their tireless support and we will keep you
updated on our progress.
