Please be aware that a total of 9 bikes were stolen on Friday night/Saturday 26/27 April.

7 were taken from the GT Cup meeting at Brookethorpe (2 in broad daylight during the meeting).

2 were taken from East Kent members from Lenham and Harrietsham. 1 was stolen from inside the riders house!!

PLEASE LOOK AFTER YOUR BIKES AT MEETINGS AND PRACTICE.

LOCK THEM UP IF YOU LEAVE THEM AND KEEP YOUR VANS LOCKED AT ALL TIMES.

MEMBERS: Please note ALL members who are competing in the Summer Championship (from 24th Feb) will need a transponder to record your results. These can be hired on the day for £7.50, you would need to let us know when booking in, or these can be bought - this works out cheaper in the long run. Prices start from £65 plus VAT for a Flex transponder incl 1 year subscription.

We will also be laying on practice days throughout the year at Staplehurst & Lamberhurst - members will get priority booking!

WANTED We are looking for people who would be interested in learning how to run the transponder system & lapscorers.  This would be a marshalling duty and you would be paid in the same way as if you were marshalling.  If you are interested in learning or would like more information, please see a member of the committee at the signing on table or telephone Pete Rusell or Tina Mitchell.

It is set in its own grounds with a private pool and within easy walking distance of Dalyan town centre, which has numerous bars and restaurants.

Can we please remind everyone that East Kent Schoolboy Scramble Club has a zero tolerance of any illegal drugs. Anyone found to be breaking this rule WILL be asked to leave the paddock immediately.

Riding in the Paddock

Please can everyone remember that riding in the paddock on ANY powered bike at

any time during a meeting weekend is STRICTLY forbidden.

This applies throughout Saturday and Sunday, from the arrival of the first vehicle

to the departure of the last. It also applies to all mx bikes and battery powered

bikes.

East Kent is responsible for your safety in the paddock and this rule will be

strictly enforced. It applies to ALL members and their friends, and includes all

committee members' riders as well

MCF Licences

Rookies = Seniors - 14-17,

Rookies/Adult = Seniors and AMX (15 years and over only),

Adult Junior = slow AMX or Open (15 years and up),

Adult Expert = fast AMX or Open (15 years and up) but it makes no difference as we don't run an expert group so just tick one!!

15 year olds are limited to 250 2 stroke or 450 4 stroke in the Open group and the usual 125 2 stroke and 2504 4 stroke in the AMX - nothing larger!!

Prices for 2013

Club Membership: £45 per family, including 1 rider, £10 per extra rider.

MCF Licence: Schoolboys £32.50, Adults £37.50 (including Rookie + Adult licences)

Racing Fees: £25 Autos, £30 Schoolboys, £35 Adults - plus marshalling costs

Day licences: £7.50,  Day membership £5.

Paid marshalling: £10 not to marshal for first rider, £15 in total to include additional riders in same family.

If you provide a marshal you do not pay the £10 and the marshal gets paid.

Transponders: Please contact MCF direct to arrange purchase or subscription. You get them direct from the MCF and not through the club. Details and forms can be found here:
