The members voted in the following ways:-
EK is now affiliated to ORMS. We look forward to working with you over the following year.
The Summer Championship will consist of 12 rounds. You must race in 9 of these rounds to qualify for a trophy. You will be able to drop your worst 7 RACES from these rounds (please note races NOT rounds). This will apply for the next 2/3 years.
The Burger Grill will continue to feed us all next year & will be adding sweets for all of you with a sweet tooth! Gel will continue to provide ice creams too.
Pro Mx will also continue as our spares van & Rhys will be our Riders Rep (so if you have a problem you do not feel comfortable airing with a member of the committee, please speak to Rhys & he will raise your concern/problem with the committee for you).
You MUST have a transponder to score points. NO TRANSPONDER NO SCORE. (These can be hired from us or bought from MyLaps).
For those of you who wish to have a dual licence to ride in both the Seniors & AMX you will only be able to qualify for one of these championships (not both).
Team Event selection will be made from the championship on 25 August, 2014 & will be the top 3 riders of each group plus a wildcard. Each rider MUST have raced in at least 3 rounds to qualify for the team.
We are looking for people who would be interested joining the committee for 2014.
We are also after people to learn how to run the transponder system & lapscorers.
This would be a marshalling duty and you would be paid in the same way as if you were marshalling.
If you are interested in learning or would like more information, please telephone Pete Russell or Tina Mitchell.
The AGM is on 17th November at 2pm and is also at Bewl Water, Bewlbridge Lane, Lamberhurst, TN3 8JH.
We will be discussing, amongst other things, our affiliation for 2014.
The club doesn't run itself. The committee work hard for you and if you want a say in how things happen then you need to come and be heard.
We're always looking for people to come onto the committee - speak to any committee member and find out more.
But BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Winter Championship dates are now on the Fixtures page.
PLEASE LOOK AFTER YOUR BIKES AT MEETINGS AND PRACTICE.
LOCK THEM UP IF YOU LEAVE THEM AND KEEP YOUR VANS LOCKED AT ALL TIMES.

This applies throughout Saturday and Sunday, from the arrival of the first vehicle
to the departure of the last. It also applies to all mx bikes and battery powered
East Kent is responsible for your safety in the paddock and this rule will be
strictly enforced. It applies to ALL members and their friends, and includes all
committee members' riders as well
Rookies = Seniors - 14-17,
Rookies/Adult = Seniors and AMX (15 years and over only),
Adult Junior = slow AMX or Open (15 years and up),
Adult Expert = fast AMX or Open (15 years and up) but it makes no difference as we don't run an expert group so just tick one!!
15 year olds are limited to 250 2 stroke or 450 4 stroke in the Open group and the usual 125 2 stroke and 2504 4 stroke in the AMX - nothing larger!!
Hope this helps :)
