Summer Club Championship 2008 Qualification Requirements

• There will be 12 Summer Championship meetings and :-
   

  • To qualify for a Trophy you must attend 9 Summer Championship meetings on or before the last Summer Championship meeting.
    NB. Canada Heights, Nationals, Team Event, BSMA Finals Etc do NOT count towards the required 9 Summer Championship meeting attendances.
     

  • Each rider’s best 9 meeting results will be used to calculate Trophy positions.
     

  • In the event that meetings are cancelled the criteria will drop accordingly i.e
    
    11 meetings = 8 to count  :  10 meetings = 7 to count  :  9 meetings = 6 count, with a minimum of 6 rounds to count.
     

  • Events not run on the day are normally cancelled, this year we have one reserve date.
    
     

• Deciding final places when points are tied :-
   

  • The winner will be the rider who has scored the highest number of maximum points in the individual competition rounds.  If this does not produce a result then the second highest number of points will be taken into account and so on.
     
  • If points scored in all the counting rounds remain equal then the rider with the highest points in the final round of the competition will be the winner.
     
  • Should a tie still remain then the rider with the higher points in the final race will be the overall winner.
     
  • Points will not be taken into account from rounds that are dropped.
    
     

• Holidays, Sickness and Injuries will count towards attendances PROVIDED the Competition Secretary is advised in WRITING within 7 days.  NB. This concession will NOT be granted retrospectively.
