Afternoon all, I trust this message finds you all well ? Just thought I would come on here with a little update as to what’s been going on over the last few weeks.
Championship
It’s no secret that we have suffered severe issues in getting the championship updated/finalised for this season. Unfortunately we have been dealing with a corrupt file that has caused massive implications to the system when updating/syncing the championship. We are pleased to announce that we will be investing in a whole new system for 2022, including live timing, however, for now, the final few amendments are being updated and I will share the link when it is available to view. (Almost there finally) thanks to those that have been helping behind the scenes with updates, liaising with mylaps etc - this has been a massive task!
Presentation
Due to the delays and complications with the championship we have had to delay our presentation to early next season, this is now booked for Saturday 22nd January so please keep this date free and final details will be out in due course.
AGM & 2022 membership
We are getting lots of messages and calls enquiring about 2022 membership, which will be available next month for current members and in the new year for new members. As many groups were full this season we will have a window for membership renewals before we open it to all. (Dates to be advised after AGM)
Our AGM is booked for Thursday 9th December. For those who wish to tender or make any proposals for this - please do so in writing by 28th November 2022. This can be sent via email to eastkentssc@hotmail.com
As always, we are looking for more support with our committee, and the club in general, and would ask that anyone interested or wanting to know more, please do touch base. At present there is a very very small team, and as the club is growing with membership year on year it would be amazing to welcome some fresh faces, new ideas, and more support in general to the team. For those that are not familiar, all committee step down at AGM and all positions are available for anyone wishing to apply/come on board. Remember it is your club, have your say, offer support, and consider the help required to host events, you can make a huge difference by giving some of your time. Lots of you have had opinions/ideas all year so now's the time to offer back to your club.
We also plan to announce our provisional 2022 calendar at AGM - all current members welcome.
